"the fact that you need only have two starters in your active lineup means that you can spend most of the draft looking elsewhere"

Wow... what a genius. I guess that explains Hudson going in the late 6th round, while Aramis Ramirez goes in the beginning of the seocnd round. Get me some of what he's smoking.

I'm going to build my team around Crawford in the first and Ichiro in the second. If Funston did it, it must be right! The man is an expert!

This just in...an unnamed source has leaked the first 11 players results of the all Funnston Mock Auction. Here is the analysis:

Funston 1: Arod $44, Mora $33
Funston 2: Sheff $30
Funston 3: Crawford $35
Funston 4: O. Cabrera $25
Funston 5: Jeter $30
Funston 6: Tejada $48
Funston 7: Nomar $29
Funston 8: Renteria $28
Funston 9: Furcal $27
Funston 10: C. Guillen $24

Funston Analysis: A run on SSs. I feel Funston 4 may have been a little harsh in paying $25 for O. Cabrera, but after Funston 9 grabbed Furcal, he had no choice. Funston 1 and 2 may regret not grabbing a top tier SS early and going the extra few dollars.

This just in...The Funstons to appear on Eric Karabell's fantasy show to give their insight into the mock draft. Funston will switch personalities to each of his individual owners during the show to answer questions...A spot on Baseball Tonight with Peter Gammons is also being planned, but has been postponed until Gammon's gets his instructions from Theo Epstein on what to ask and say.

I hear that he is thinking about coming up with SimFunston for the PC. A draft software package designed to emulate himself 12 times and make all the picks in your league for you and your friends.
