Im trying to decide on who to pick up of the free agents to add to my roster. I have an empty spot and I need a SP. Which one of these guys will perform the best in '05?

Thi is a tough one. I have both of these guys targeted to be late round "sleepers." But I have Eaton just a bit higher and I do think that his upside is greater.

I like Eaton in that park, he improved last year and should be better this year.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

Eaton. He has a greater upside and the PETCO advantage.

By the way, its a 5x5, Head-Head league. Does that make a difference in my selection? So far, I have 3 for Eaton and 1 for Thomson. I would like to have some more opinion please!

Eaton's a head case...catched a bunch of his games last year, and he's as streaky as they come. Can be dominant for 2-3 innings and then the wheels will come off later in the game.
There was an article on ESPN about Thomson. Supposedly some of his peripheral ratios were in the "very good" range, and I'm hearing that this could be a major break-through year for him. I'd draft him definitely.

I'd take Thompson as well unless you are desperate for K's as his ratios will most likely be much better pitching in Atlanta.
