I love Burnett - on another thread I picked Oswalt as a Cy Young candidate but if Burnett stays healthy I think he wins it. He is practically unhittable at times.
Others I like:
any Philly (Myers, Burrell and Rollins especially)
Bay
Kearns
At each position
C- Victor Martinez- HUGE waiver pick up last year, may be able to slip him after Lopez and Rodriguez this year but we'll see.
1B- Justin Morneau- HE could be a top 5 first basemen and be picked in the later rounds. Terrific sleeper if you get him.
2B- Chase Utley- Big time underrated, but had a nice spurt midway through the season. He'll put up nice stats.
3B- David Wright- Awesome potential, I have him in the top 5 for third basemen. I think he will be about as good as Justin but probably more valuable.
SS- Nomar Garciaparra- I think you could make him a sleeper. People will probably forget about him. There aren't any shortstops I like better that aren't obvious like Tejada or Jeter.
OF- Jason Bay- Don't forget him, he is going to have a huge season this year. I like his hitting ability a lot. Also, I think Ichiro will be lowballed a lot in drafts but shouldn't be.
SP- Edwin Jackson- He played like 3 games, real nice player. I don't know how much he'll contribute, but if he plays the whole season, watch out.
RP- Francisco Rodriguez- We saw Brad Lidge become a closer from middle reliver and how much he dominated. This guy will do the same thing. I would be afraid of anyone who got him besides me.
Two guys nobody seems to be talking about. First, A. Ramirez. Also, if Jose Mesa faulters, look for big things out of Mike Gonzalez in the closers role for Pittsburgh.
IMO, Lidge, Peavy, and MCab are guys that will put up top 20 type numbers and, with the possible exception of MCab, they'll probably all be available 10-20 picks later.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
