Yahoo standard roster and rules.... thoughts?

C- J. Posada
1B- A. Pujols
2B- L. Castillo
3B- T. Glaus
SS- K. Matsui
OF- M. Cabrera
OF- S. Sosa
OF- M. Ordonez
Util- T. Helton

BN- J. Bay
BN- M. Lawton
BN- J. Morneau
BN- R. Hernandez

SP- M. Prior
SP- R. Clemens
RP- D. Kolb
RP- J. Smoltz
P- R. Oswalt
P- K. Wood
P- R. Halladay
P- Z. Greinke

With Smoltz now starting I only have 1 closer... closers that are FA's are:

L. Hawkins/J. Borowski (Cubs)
C. Tsao (Col)
J. Speier (Tor)
M. Adams (Mil)

Top position FA's are:

Burnitz
V. Castilla
Bagwell
C. Wilson
J. Wilson
Cameron
C. Blake
Burrell
Sweeney
Palmeiro

R. Hernandez (SD Catcher) is gonna be cut... and I wasn't sure if Greinke should be cut? So there are 2 potential people I could pick up.

What would you all do??
Thnx!

I like having Craig wilson on my teams! Position at first or OF with decent average and Homeruns! He is a nice fill in but the Pirates are very outfield first base crouded! your bench is week in a infield fill in player.

I also might pick up Blake, cause he'll cover you at 2B and 3B probably, which are your two iffyest positions. But I like your offense, and your pitching, even though I'm not a big Kolb guy.

Nice looking team. You can surely give up one of those SP's and get a stud closer in return. I'd offer Oswalt or Wood for someone along the lines of Foulke or Lidge

I would sump Hernandez and pick up Hawkins or maybe Guillermo Mota (if he's available). Even if Hawkins does not close he'll have a nice ERA and WHIP. With all the SPs you have you'll reach your max innings limit pretty quickly. I recommended dumping Wood or Oswalt b/c of their habit of missing time with injuries. Is this a keeper league?? If it isn't- only then would i consider dumping Greinke, because he's going to be a stud, but when?

This is not a keeper... and like you said, with the starters I have I might not need Greinke.
