I don't think you can go wrong with Barret, Lieberthal, or Closser. They all play in good hitting ballparks, so just get one of those guys.

Yea, I like all 3 and I think I am just going to wait until the last round. Inge IS left if that makes a difference. I didnt know he played C anymore.

After the top catchers are taken, you should grab one that bats in the 260-270 range so they dont ruin your team BA. As soon as another catcher is taken, grab a catcher. You dont want to look for the "hot" catcher during the season. It will be a pain and your team BA will suffer.

Most catchers and SSs dont put up great power numbers. But when you add their numbers together, they equal a good hitters numbers. Often you get 80-12-100-10-.270 out of the two combined. If you end up w/o a catcher during the season, it will be like losing a good hitter.
I love mock drafts.

Wow this position is bad... anyway out of that crop you might as well draft somebody. Barret, Liberthal, Pierzynski aren't gonna come close to brining you a negative value. Completely skipping C probably not the greatest idea, because even though it is awful the only cat you are saving is AVG and missing out on all the other cats (Albeit contributions in say HR from catcher not too large.)

Picking up a bad C from spring training might get you negative vaule from your Catcher, the 3 guys left on the board won't. Might as well grab one, IMO

and post 100. woooo
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

my draft strategy is I usually always draft catchers last. That is the position I kind of punt. last 2 years I got Javy and estrada. So my strategy has worked so far. ;-D
