Uh oh...kentx, what happened to your boys last night. Just a thought for you ACC fans....In the Big East only the top twelve teams make the Big East conference tourney. Virginia Tech only made it once, so that means they finished last, or next to last every other year. Right now they have a 500 conference record in the ACC and have already knocked off GT and Duke. Kind of makes you wonder if the ACC is all it is cracked up to be?

I have never doubted that from mid to bottom the Big East is a better conference....it is just the top of the ACC is better than the top of the Big East....the BE is by far the deeper conference...

only three teams to finish the season 8-8 in the ACC have missed the dance. Committee will also take into account when Elder was out and they went 4-5. By the way...last two NC came from the top of the Big East, so it is not too shabby.

even a big time carolina fan will admit dont count duke out just yet....they are struggling right now with their point guard as ewing is just not the typical duke PG and he does not realize that williams is their best player and get him the ball enough.... if coach K can get ewing to realize to pass the ball to williams or even get a PG from the bench to realize that, they will be a Elite 8 contender for sure.....

Uh, dunno what you've been watching, but Ewing is rarely playing from the point.



As for the rest of the ACC, the top 3 teams in that conference are all legit final four contenders, that alone making it better than the big-east. You could say the big east has three contenders in SU, BC and UCONN, but really none of the three are front of the line contenders when you look at it.

How about Wake Forest, Wisconsin twice, Michigan State? Iowa ain't bad either, and they are playing them right now. But Duke was playing over their head before and the chinks are starting to show.
