Not only is Edgar switching leagues, but Boston has notoriously not given their baserunners the green light. I don't think his SBs will go up at all.
The clincher for me in taking Young over Renteria is that you can probably get him 2 rounds later in the draft. Much better value.

Really? Most of the mocks I've seen have it the other way around -- Young a couple rounds before Renteria.

One of the "experts" mock, Yahoo, maybe had Renteria going ridiculously high in the 2nd round

Mike Young. He should have better average, similar runs, similar RBIs, a few more HR, and possibly more steals.
