Hockey season not definitly over???

Ok so I was listening to the radio...apparently Lemiux and Gretsky are going to meet with the head dudes Bettmen?? and are going over the head of the players union leaders...they are trying to get the deal done and the season going...

If gretsky can pull this off he is truly the great one

Not really. Brendan Shannahan let it slip that a group of players are putting a proposal together. They are first talking to Gretz and Lemieux (former players now owners) to get their ok, then they will ask Goodenow to put the proposal on the table.

At the same time a few owners are putting together another proposal and will ask Bettman to table it. At least that's the rumour.

Hopefully the can pull something together....It will be hard enough for the NHL to recover now...but if the season is totally lost...they might never recover....

I heard they might go with replacement players.
That would never work.
WNBA isn't too so good, so how about we take their players and put them in the NHL. they would be pretty cheap I think.

I love hockey and am really bored with nothing but hoops on but I hope that this doesn't happen. I'd rather have them think this through and come up with a proper solution rather than rush into something.
