I went to high school with this kid and he is going to be a good one. With him we won the 6A state title, which is the highest you can get. He got drafted by the Rockies in the late teens. He was going to be drafted higher, but he had already signed with the University of Miami. But the last I had heard was that he had signed a contract with the Rockies. We also had another kid named Eddie Prasch, who was drafted in the third round by the Pirates, but truthfully, Dexter will most likely do better.

I agree. However, it's going to take Fowler a while to get to Colorado. First, apparently he needs to work on his batting stance. Scouts say that he'll need like a year to work some issues out there.

He had some of the best tools in last year's draft, but like you said, signability issues prevented him from being drafted early. Definitely has first round talent. He will have to turn the tools into production, though. Fowler is also on the "raw" end of even the toolsy players. Guys like Milledge were more refined.
