There's a real risk that Koch will no longer be the main man in Chi-Town. Marte pitched unbelievably for the save - 2 perfect innings and 2 strikeouts. Why would they go back to Koch, that has 2 blown saves? It just doesn't make sense. Manuel has no tolerance for incompetence and has about had it with Koch.

Manuel does not have a history of having any patience with his closers. Last year, Foulke had a similar start to Koch this year and he was dumped as the closer about a month in. He pitched exceptional as the setup man the rest of the year, pitching with a 1.00 ERA but never won his closer's job back. There is the real possibility that will happen with Koch. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the White Sox trade Koch to the Mets for Benitez.
I am currently trying to psyche the Koch owner in my league into giving me Koch for either DeJean or Alfonseca to buy him as low as possible and hope he comes back.

The main problem with Koch is that he needs to become a pitcher instead of a thrower.

Why would it be plain dumb to dump Escobar? The guy has been terrible. Who needs that shyt on their team? It's not like you can trade him. And it's not like I need to take negative performances from him in my points league. Maybe in a roto league you hang on to him. But in a h-to-h points league? Nahhh.... Kick 'em to the curb.

Escobar hasn't given up an earned run in his past five appearances. What planet are you from?

Plus, he is probably distracted by the 8 million dollar lawsuit for sexual assault against him filed by some woman last week.
