Beltran's too much of a gamble at number one. He will be like Soriano was last year -- a concensus top-3 guy who secretly isn't a very good hitter. Plus, at least Soriano was in a scarce position.
I'd say Pujols, Vlad, A-Rod and Tejada are the most legit first picks.
Pujols should have a better AVG, more HR and RBIs and be close to Beltran in Runs scored. You'll just have to target a speedster later in the draft to make up for the loss in steals.

Soriano and Beltran are secretly not good hitters?

Soriano, though he's getting better, had like a 4-to-1 K/BB ratio.
Beltran hit what, like .267 last year? Seems like a gamble for the no. 1 overall pick.
But these guys are highly rated for their SB's. I just can't trust guys who aren't great hitters to anchor my team... they're very streaky. Plus, Beltran's over-rated because of his post-season performance. That's why the Yanks drove up his value so much, and they hype of his off-season free agency has spilled over into fantasy when they really have no correlation. Just my opinion, though.
