In comparing Fantasy Docs rankings and Rotochamps I noticed some large discrpencies in the following players:
Aaron Rowand - RC 16 Docs 103
Dave Roberts - RC54 Docs125
Justin Morneau - RC63 Docs127
David Wright - RC 57 Docs 119
Mariano Rivera - RC 128 Docs 57
Trevor Hoffman - RC207 Docs 133
Jorge Posado - RC206 Docs 115
Francisco Cordero - RC197 Docs 101
Juan Encarnacion - RC587 Docs 129
Anyone have an insight on the disparity in rankings? Thanks.

yeah i do.... I think what rotochamps did was this: They found a few guys who they thought would expload this year and have abnormal numbers. So they adjusted for it. The other site was way more conservative i would imagine.

Rotochamps appears to be viewing the youthful, up and coming stars as more preferable than older veterans players. Docs appears to endorse the older, more established players.

Are these players ranked by position or are these numbers their overall rank as hitters/pitchers at all positions?

I will go with this, but I have to temper my excitement on the young guys. A few years ago I got real excited about some "young studs". I just knew they were going to bust out. Let's just say I was serching the waiver wire for lots of replacements. That said, I really like Morneau this year (but Rivera is the man. I mean, come on his is the missle mask or some crap like that in the new nike commercial.)
Mariano Rivera - RC 128 Docs 57
Justin Morneau - RC63 Docs127
Aaron Rowand - RC 16 Docs 103
Francisco Cordero - RC197 Docs 101
Jorge Posado - RC206 Docs 115
Trevor Hoffman - RC207 Docs 133
David Wright - RC 57 Docs 119
Juan Encarnacion - RC587 Docs 129
Dave Roberts - RC54 Docs125
