Chase Utley VS. Chris Burke

Im in a 12 team H2H keeper league. HItter Stats: AVG, Runs, RBIs, HRs, SBs, OPS.

What 2nd baseman should I go with? Chase Utley or Chris Burke?

Is Pacido Palanco going to start in Philly? If Utley starts will he be on a short leash? Is Burke for real? What Ive read on Utley it says he could hit 25 Homers. Is that realistic? Im in the 14th round of my draft. Should I be looking to take either of these guys soon? Or can I wait, there are 25 rounds. The best 2B left Kaz Matsui. Should I take him next pick? There is only 1 other team that doesnt have a 2B.

I'm in a 15 team league and just picked Burke in the 20th round. But in our league everyone already had at least 1 2B. I picked him up as my back up to Brian Roberts.

Chone Figgins is gone already? I would take him. If he's gone, I am betting that you can get Utley in the 15th-17th round range. Burke should be there in the 20's still.
I think that both Utley and Burke will do well. Depending on what you need. Burke will steal more and score more runs leading off. Utley can bang you the home runs and rbi's that Burke has. I say take them both and play either the hot hand, or for the category that you may need (stolen base or home run).

Now this is a comparison I'd like to hear from some people about. Obviously (to those who've looked into them), Utley has more power and Burke, more speed. As of now, Burke is penciled-in for a starting job, while Utley needs to fight off the ever-expensive Polanco. Even if Utley gets the job, he'll need to stay hot to keep Placido from taking his at-bats (in a perfect fantasy world, Polanco would just replace Bell at 3B, but alas, nothing's perfect). Right now I have;

Utley: 67/22/73/4/.274

Burke: 84/12/66/22/.288

I'd take Burke over Utley because of Polanco but I would take Kaz Matsui over both of them.

Kaz should see an improvement in #'s as he will be a little more comfortable with MLB pitching.

IF he hits in the 2-slot b/w Reyes and Beltran;

If he hits in the bottom half of the lineup;

I'd take Utley over burke. He's impressed in short playing time in the majors and has the upside of 25 homers from a 2b, which would be very nice. I wouldn't worry about Polanco, they tried to run him outta town but he wouldnt leave. Utility man at best.

Im planning on taking either Matsui and Burke or Utley and Burke....

I don't know a lot about Utley, but in Burke's case he's not necessarily guaranteed to be starting 2B come opening day if he has a bad spring. Then when Berkman comes back Biggio could move to 2B depending on how things are working.

It sounds like both guys have job security issues.
