What's Going on with Berkman?

Anybody heard any recent news on how Lance is progressing? Will he be ready opening day?

as far as ive heard, he's gonna miss around a month of the season.

Best-case scenario, he MIGHT be ready sometime in May.

word here in Houston is that he'll be back early May-early June, possibly middle of June depending on how quickly he recovers.

Berkman (knee) is no longer wearing crutches to protect his surgically repaired right knee and is expecting to return by the middle of April, The Sports Xchange reports. Berkman's original target return date was mid May, so the new target of mid April shows his continuing progress with his right knee. It's still far too early to say if Berkman will be able to come through on his progress of returning in April, so we'll keep you posted on his status as we get more information.
