Should be interesting to see how many "Liar" and "Scum" comments we get towards Mark, Don't you think? .
How does it go again?

"Most concerning to me, is the negative effect that sensationalizing steroids will have on impressionable youngsters who dream of one day becoming professional athletes.

I think when the anger passes, as it has for me, the result is "screw it, they probably ALL used something" and just play the fantasy game. Real baseball has been (or is being) run into the ground, unless you're a Yankees, Sox, Cubs, Braves, or Cards fan. I used to be a huge Tiger fan. Now baseball feels more like soccer than a sport I'd watch. Put it on after rugby on Fox Sports World.
Frequent drug-testing and a level playing field? Shouldn't this be obvious? Am I stupid?
I'm not just the president of the Cornbread Maxwell Fan Club, I'm also the only member.
wr, the only evidence or circumstancial evidence surrounding McGwire is taht Canseco said he did steroids with him. Bonds' all of a sudden gets huge when he's paying a drug company, BALCO, for drugs, and this drug company has been taken to court for supplying steroids that cannot be tested for to it's clients. Sheffield has said that he and Bonds used steroids together one offseason, but Sheff at the time apparently didn't know they were roids. Are you really that surprised that nobody is pointing fingers at McGwire? He's always been huge. He hit 49 HR's as a rookie. Bonds had a huge growth spurt in his late 30's while associated with a drug company that supplied undetectable steroids to it's clients. Please, give it a rest. Stop trying to make this about race.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
It depends on your view. Personally I think most players are using/have used some form of performance enhancers.
McGwire was definitely on something IMO.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.
