Do the Royals use Affeldt in non-save situations, to eat innings and stay in shape? I like to have some MR as we use holds and also they seem to 'cook' the WHIP/ K/9/ ERA down a bit and, if Affeldt doesn't play unless he can get a save, he is not going to do as much of that as Dempster who, even if he's not the closer, should see quite a bit of action...just a thought though.

I'm hoping to be able to avoid closer 'issues' as I had a lot of trouble finding anybody to compliment Benitez last year. Thanks!
