Will Derek Lowe do better in LA, which is a pitchers park, than in Boston (hitters park)? Is he a solid #3 or 4 fantasy starter?

I say he will do fantastic as LA starter. A #2 or #3 fantasy starter for sure. I mean the upgrade Izturis is at SS will help him win more games this year for the ground ball pitcher. Plus, he gets to pitch to pitchers. So yeah, I am pretty high on him this year.

I just don't like the guy...He'll pitch a few decent games then implode for the next two. Dodger Stadium is more of a neutral park now as the foul territory has been reduced. I'd take him as a 4th or 5th starter...

I dont expect him to be great but I wouldnt be suprised with

14 wins and a hig 3 era.

ERA under 4 and 14 W is pretty good if you ask me. I am very high on him this year. Dodgers Park isn't neutral, its a definite pitchers park. The grounballs with a solid infield will also help. I expect 16 W, 3.7 ERA, 170 K's.

Haha, my bad, whats the record for wrost ERA for a starter with at least 170 IPs btw?

Where did you get 170 Ks from? Even in his monster 2002, Lowe only had 127 strikeouts.

He's a liability in strikeouts and WHIP. Pitching in LA will definitely help him improve on last year, but I still wouldn't want him on my team.

I could have sworn I put 140...anyways, his WHIP is quesion because of the sinker...just like any sinkerballer, its the price you pay.

Jack Wadsworth of the 1894 Louisville Colonels had a 7.60 ERA in 173 IP. I don't know if that's the record, but it'd be tough to find someone worse.

Keeping it recent, Darryl Kile's 6.61 for the Rockies in 99 is pretty bad.
