You're pitching staff is outstanding for a 16-team league but you paid for it with a lineup that is full of question marks. If most of those guys pan out your team will probably be awesome but I'd definitely be looking at other sleepers in the next couple of rounds to hedge my bets on guys like Burke, Matsui, Figgins, Rowand and Werth. Good luck. ;-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

considering I was in the 14 hole to start off with I figured that I would have problems finding solid bats so I went with alot of unprovens there. Also it being H2H I believe in pitching alot... and hope that my strength there will help cover some of the holes in the batting line up.
Burke Im not to worried about, he has an awesome history with his speed in the minors and playing in that band box called Houston he should do decent numbers in the power category... Figgins I think showed alot last year and should come close to those numbers... Rowand Im pretty confident in as well, just hoping that Kaz and Werth can live up to the hype or some semblence thereof.

Great team ;-D

For a 16 team league, I dont know how you wont get into at LEAST the toop 3.

Only weakness IMO is that Capellan will be starting for you.

Ditto....on the above. Very stout in pitching, but you may have to deal one for another bat when the time comes. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a willing taker, there has to be a number of teams in your league very weak in the pitching categories.

solid pitching staff for a 16 teamer...i would want to work on some sleepers for your offense with some of your later picks just in case some of your offensive guys struggle, and if one of your sleepers break out then you can make a trade to get some power to your lineup

thanks gentlemen, that is what I am going to try to do. these next few rounds... I thought the batting would need some help but like you said, having the solid pitching to work from if need be I can do some horse trading.

You definately have a strong pitching staff. I think you need to get a little more Power into your lineup. Remember, they say you can't win in the playoffs without pitching. Good job overall.

Thanks again for all the replies, Im thinking of checking out whos close in the minors... at this stage of the draft (19th round with16 teams and a total of 7 rounds left) I think my best bet will be hitting up the minors and see who is ready to move on up to the Majors... though I will continue to look for players who might have slipped through the cracks. :)
