Yep Thomson had a great season. A pretty convincing argument could be made that his first half was better than his second half (skill-wise, not fantasy-wise). The only reason his ERA was that high was because hits were falling in and he was allowing too many HR's. His K/BB actually got worse in the second half. If he learned how to stop giving up the long-ball (if anyone could teach him... it's Mazzone) then he could easily be a top notch pitcher. An ERA of 3.50 wouldn't surprise me. And he's probably going later in drafts than bums like Matt Morris and Kris Benson.
