He'll 41 this year if I'm not mistaken. How many more years does Bonds have? And more importantly, what are your projections for those years? Thanks for the help.
Given that he was on the 'roids, I would venture to guess that he'll get testicular and/or colon cancer in his early-50's. However, he's a tough guy. I think he goes at the age of 59.
He's 41, right? So then I vote that he has 18 years left.
He goes two more years (through his contract) and breaks the record by averaging about 40 HRs each year. He then signs with "a contender" on the cheap, still doesn't win the Series, and retires after the 2007 season having hit about 20 more home runs.
The Giants were just awarded the 2007 All star game. Barry will play in that game as a Giant. His contract will be extended to cover that year (barring major injury). I don't think he is going to let the Homerun derby go by without him. Remember SBC Park was built with Bond's homeruns in mind.

Good point. Or, perhaps they could have a ceremony for Barry at the All-Star game, rewarding him for his distinguished career. He will attend by teleconference on the video screen, though, not live-- becaue he'll be serving out his delayed sentence for lying to a grand jury...

LOL Hillarious...
Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny too.
