Does The Naked Gun qualify as a Baseball Movie? The part of the movie at the Angles game with all the announcers, and the blooper reel on the big screen, is hysterical.
But I have a candidate for WORST Baseball Movie of all time (might make an interesting discussion on its own) :
Michael O'Keefe (Danny Noonan from Caddyshack) and the extremely sexy Rebecca De Mornay. This one was totally lame, but I always found Rebecca De Mornay irresistable ever since Risky Business. That's probably why I watched it on HBO back in the 80s.
I love the recommendation imdb gives for this.
"If you liked this movie check out Mr. Baseball."
It might as well say, "If you like crappy baseball movies here's another piece of cinematic garbage for you to enjoy!
England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
There are a lot of great ones that I totally forgot about that have been brought up. Also, I like all of the other movies suggested here but I must admit I'm not a big field of dreams or bull durham person. The Bad News Bears, I totally forgot. That's a classic. Thanks to everybody for all the replies. It's all very interesting. Also, I have heard of 61 but haven't checked it out yet. I've also heard good things about the sandlot, I know it came out years ago, but still haven't checked it out. Same with the Rookie, except it's more recent than the sandlot.

what about the part where Reggie Jackson gets hit by that blow dart and falls from the upper deck and lands on that woman or where leslie nielsen is the umpire making the calls behind the plate!!? lol
And to add to the list of bad movies (The Sluggers Wife, The Fan, and Mr. Baseball) what about that movie where that kid's grandfather owns the Twins and then passes away and the kid gets to manage the twins!! LOL I'm sorry but I forgot what it was called and if anybody knows the name of this film please post it, thanks . Also, another really bad one was Angels in the Outfield with Danny Glover, Tony Danza, some kid, and these really cheezy fake looking Angels that help the baseball Angels play ball LOL oh that was the worse and the ending is just so awful I can't even bring it up.
