10th round, my other pitchers are:
Prior
Escobar
So I want another starter, but obviously I need a closer soon. Here are the starters available:
Smoltz
Greinke
Kazmir
Madstrich(I know it's spelt wrong)
J.Vaquez(but I'm not a huge fan)
N.Lowry
Bonderman
RP:
Mota
BJ Ryan
Takatsu
Top 3 SP's? Either closer a SAFER option? I won't pick again for about 20 picks, so suggestions please. I'm aiming more towards a young gun like Greinke.....

i like those starters u listed in this order
Vazquez
Greinke
Smoltz
Bonderman
Lowry
Kazmir
Madritsch
but i would probably go for a closer if the best two available are Ryan and Mota and if you dont even have a closer yet
so id take Ryan

Is no one worried about Vasquez's second half last year? I had him on my team and loved him until that point then he just sputtered. Different in Arizona for any reason?

That NL Division with the Giants, D'Backs, and Dodgers is a lot less potent and less pressurized than pitching for the Yankees in the ever potent AL East. I prefer Vazquez back in the NL

A lot of people blame Vazquez's trouble on the pressure of being a Yankee. That's too convenient.
The fact is Vazquez lost velocity in the 2nd half last year. Statistically shown by the high percentage of curves and changeups he threw. He just couldn't blow it by people the way he has in the past.
If that velocity comes back, he'll be very good. But the odds are not in his favor.

Well.....I went with.....nobody.
I picked up Greinke. I see him being really good this year and it being a keeper draft I didn't want to let him go. I'll find closers later. It's a head 2 head league so closers saves week to week are a toss up to me.
I like Vasquez, but i don't really buy the New York hype too much either. I think he's a good pitcher, but he won't be getting wins on that ball club (not that greinke will either). I might regret that one with Vasquez certain to be picked up soon.
Ah well, atleast I know I made the right pick for the future.....
