Yeah he does seem to be going late. How about Giambi. I think I got him in the 17th. That would be huge even if he it .270 with 28 hrs and got close to 90 Rbi's.

AA - Derrick Lowe?!?!?!? good luck with that, might as well take Andy Pettitte too.

Berkman is going to miss at least the first 2 months of the season, so I think he's probably selling accordingly.

I like Greinke, Mauer, Kearns, and Coco Crisp isnt a bad late rd flier either.

ABoone could be a solid call.

A few guys near and dear to me that I think you should consider as late sleepers: DYoung, OInfante, NRobertson, WLedezma.

Hey I have a fan club!!! I just noticed that! Woo Hoo! Dont forget - you get a pin and certificate with the membership package. :-D

First of all, Derek Lowe sucks in fantasy baseball. He'll blow up 2 starts then have a couple nice games and get you thinking he is back on track and then blow up for another two weeks. Bitter? yes. He killed my era/whip last year and k's are low. What do the Dodgers see in this guy...anyway, sleepers are value picks for me also and I like:

R Furcal

Piazza
P Feliz
T Hunter

Derrick Lowe -- National League & solid pitcher's park. Even if he isn't as good as his best AL season, I see him with an ERA right around 3.50.

No way. Dodger stadium isn't that magical where by a 5.00+ ERA pitcher can drop to 3.50. In fact, only one pitcher (Odalis Perez) of the 6 pitchers who had significant amounts of starts for the Dodgers last year had an ERA under 4.00. Another dimension of Lowe you have to recognize is that he had insane run support, 7.29 runs/9IP, with Boston. That's something that he won't remotely get with the Dodgers. I see Lowe posting last year's Jeff Weaver numbers at best. (13-13, 4.01ERA, 1.30WHIP)

I think we must be talking about a different Lowe. I thought you guys were talking about Derek Lowe as a sleeper. You know, the same Derek Lowe who posted an ERA of 4.47 with a 1.42 WHIP in '03 and then followed that up with a stellar 5.42/1.61 performance in '04. Switching leagues will maybe - at best - drop his ERA by .25 or so - anything more is gravy. The park switch is yet to be determined because of the changes being made in LA - regardless - take off another .25 at most. Derek Lowe has about as much chance to hit 3.5 ERA as Chan Ho Park - unless of course they put him back in the pen where he belongs.
