Are you kidding? You've got to take into consideration this is trying to prove himself valuable once again as the Sox only locked him for 1 year for essentially peanuts. If he pitches well this year he'll lock up a long term contract.

The problem is, of course, that he really hasn't pitched since June of 04. He still has pain in his shoulder and he doesn't know how it will feel until he starts throwing for real.

My guess is as good as yours. My position has been that he won't help that much in fantasy for this year. He was a good gamble of the Red Sox for 1 mill. However, this story is a confirmation for me that I should avoid him unless I can grab him very late in the draft. There will be some people who draft him to automatically return to his form. Don't be one of them.
