here's a link for the top guys in holds from 04'

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pit ... =a&pos=all

Gordon and Otsuka look like great bets: again, Matt Mantei could be a potential sleeper and JC romero/crain might be nice as well.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

Any reliever playing for Tony LaRussa is a good bet. Also, Oakland has said that they intend to lean heavily on their bullpen so they'll help you some, too.

One of my faves is Y.Brazoban, taking over Mota's old spot in front of Gagne.
And A.A. is right about LaRussa's crew, chief among them JTavares (RH) and Ray King (LH).

yes Brazoban is one of my faves here, he could help you in almost every stat except saves and probably win

another sleeper could be Scott Williamson

I didn't see your request for stats earlier.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pit ... =a&pos=all

There you go.

And, often with holds, it is a better idea to see which teams give the most holds. It is a stat that is often dependent on the manager and how quickly he gives the ball to his bullpen. That's why I said to watch Oakland and St. Louis. I'd also watch Boston. Then just grab the top guys on those squads and you'll be fine.

Overall, though? My top holds guy is Ray King. But that's subject to change.

He will not be pitching next year. If he does the very earliest it will be is the last two months of the season.

I'd put Otsuka at the top of the list. He's the top set-up man, and also might replace Hoffman as closer when he leaves.
