Winning Strategies

Postby GoDucks » Wed Feb 09, 2005 1:59 pm

And I use the term "strategy" loosely.

Last year, in my AL-only league, I managed to win with a pitching staff that included Jon Garland, John Lackey, Jason Johnson, Jon Lieber, and Johan Santana. Granted, Santana's contribution to my success was much greater than the other four. But in the end, my "John" pitching strategy was a success.

Anyone else with a bizarre "strategy" that helped you win?

Well, my "B-Team" strategy didn't work out too well - 5th place.

Beltran and Berkman were pretty good, but Berroa, Blalock, Bradley, Blake all stunk. My pitching staff anchored by Beckett and Brown put the nail in the coffin.

All in good fun though. :-D
