Just wondering, because I notice a lot of you don't play for money. My personal opinion is that if you're going to put in all that work for 6-7 months, it should be worth something.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray

I don't play for money, only for fun.
As a kid I collected Baseball cards for fun. Today's kids seem to be more interested in what their Baseball cards are worth.
I can spend a lot of time and energy in something that I consider fun to do without expecting a monetary return for my efforts whether it is Fantasy Baseball or anything else.

We don't pool together a pot for the winner, but side bets are usually made on baseball predictions or H2H matchups so it adds up if you're on the money (pun intended

).
Can't worry about tomorrow's pain tonight.

Wow,
I must say I am shocked at teh results. Last year it seemed that a lot of people played for free on Yahoo.

i think you need to refine your question. I play money and free leagues and I'm guessing a lot of others do as well.

I play on Yahoo in $ leagues as well as for fun leagues. This year I'm joining a money league on CBS. I've played for fun for years just because I enjoy it. Last year I hooked up with some guys who wanted to play for money so I'm expanding this year with my winnings.
