that happened to me too
i guess gmail wants to steal customers from yahoo and other email services

Pedantic wrote:What is Gmail, and why do we need an invite?

gmail is an email service, run by Google, sorta like yahoo mail or hotmail
they give you like 2Gb of space
but gmail is invite only, you cant just sign up for it
its nonpay though

send PMs, there are worms on the internet that search for email addresses and spam them
plus, we will know who you are asking for the invite, so you wont get a duplicate invitation

what are the advantages of gmail over something like Yahoo mail (which I currently have)? The only difference I know about is the space. In other words, tell me why I should switch to Gmail.
