I like him but that's a bit early for my tastes.

Yeah that pick was at least 2 rounds too early. Not a bad pick but you could have gotten him later.

You think it's an early pick for a deep, 12 team league?

Yeah for 12-team leagues he's usually going around the 10th-11th rounds.

I like Rowand and I think he'll give you OK value at that pick, it's just that you could have waited at least one more, maybe two, rounds. ;-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I don't think that deep really comes into play when it's a 12 teamer. 12 team mixed leagues are basically the same, If your bench is bigger, that shouldn't affect how early a player goes. It will just add more players at the end that normally wouldn't be drafted. He went at 9.12 in my current draft. I would have probably waited until at least the 10th.

Rowand recieved the "sleeper" tag early from the expert crowd, so he is extrememly overvalued right now it seems.
