wow - what an unbelievably great pick. Im speechless that he dropped that far, and I can only hope people in my leagues have him ranked just as poorly - man would I love that.
As I was reading this thread one question kept popping up - how are keepers decided? If for instance you draft Pujols and want to keep him next yr, what would be the cost? My guess is that in a snake draft keeper it would cost you a first rd pick next yr to keep a player you drafted in the first rd this yr. If so, this would have a very large affect when you jump for players where you think they will perform. Even if you are right in taking Teix that early, there still isnt much added value there.
Berkman doesnt help you until June at the earliest.
Unless a RP falls too far, I would think you need to concentrate exclusively on offense. Personally I htnk you went too heavy on SPs. I dont like the Berkman and Mulder picks that much - Mulder was probably good value, but you have greater needs. You are probably going to have to deal either Hudson or Mulder for a bat.
Yeah that pick was at least 2 rounds too early. Not a bad pick but you could have gotten him later.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
