Thome has great power, not the best average but the lineup is stacked, and so is the park. I'd go with him.

This is another close call...
Thome is two years old (I think) and has more power. I thought he might hit 60 last year at the new ball park but it didn't happen. Maybe he will in 05 but I think 40 is probably a reasonable number to expect.
Carlos is moving to a new team, new league, new country. But the situation is MUCH better in FLA. He will have enough guys on base hitting behind Pierre, Castillo, Cabrera and in front of Lowell.
They are very similar hitters but I'd give the edge to Thome at this point b/c I think he has more power potential. Very close though and I can understand if someone would prefer Delgado.
