You need to target pitching, Colon and Guardado are your best two options at this stage.

I was thinking if I went with pitcjing, I would go Pavano and Maddux or Livan Hernandez. I can't see how Fatolo wold be a better option. And Guardado is one toss away from an arm injury that would take him out for the season.

Colon is the best pitching option there. Odalis Perez would be next.

Guardado is a health risk but has the most upside. He is no more risky than half your roster. Edmonds, Drew, Chipper, Prior, Halladay.

I'd say Colon and Mad Dog.

How is Fatolo a better option than Maddux or Pavano Or Livan? He plain outright stunk last year and it would be a pure pick and pray selection. He pitched OK the second half, but still not tremendous.

You could make an argument for Odalis Perez, though I still think the other 3 are more valuable.

I am not inclined to pick another closer here unless it was a top-10 guy and a sure thing...and Guardado is neither. 4 of thr 5 other injury risks you listed happen to be the keepers I inherented with this team and there was not much choice in the matter. I see no reason to tempt fate on a closer.

Anyone think Uribe is a good pickup here in round 13? I still need both a 2b and an MI.
