Lidge at 17???
Soriano at 18th???
Some weird top 100 choices.
I used to think that too, but now I understand the value of the elite closers. They arent one cat guys - not by a longshot. Last yr 6 of the top 11 Ps were closers. Im not saying Im gonna draft one that early, but Im certainly not gonna knock the fact that they do earn that much in 5x5 roto leagues. Ive seen gagne falling to the 3rd rd in some drafts - thats silly. Even in a down yr he was the 3rd most valuable pitcher behind RJ and Santana.

Really? ESPN's player rater has Gagne as the #13 best pitcher, #30 overall.

Wow look at that... Blalock as #3 among 3B and #24 overall... Teixeira at #50 overall... Funny I recall people sayin it wasn't even close and they are right. lol

I sure would like to be able to break down each sites calculation process to see why the large discrepancy. The fact that RJ and Santana were the top two fantasy picks last yr ahead of Pujols - by a whole lot makes me wonder if its very accurate.
