I'd say it really close. According to my interpretation of the stats, it'll be really close and Blalock could actually outproduce Chavez, though I'm probably in the minority. This is based on the fact that Chavez hasn't dominated Blalock in production in any year total wise, so until he does, I have to give it to Hank the Tank
Apparently Chavez has more potential though..

I had a look at the stats and had Blalock a touch overrated.
I'm in with the Chavez supporters

I would take Blalock just because you can probably get him a round or two later and you can get similar stats.

Hank, for the simple reason that he has awesome hitters surrounding him, to help inflate his nombers. Chavez could be hitting in the worse AL lineup this season.
