the topic says it all, i know of all the players but have no idea where to draft em. I have the 2nd pick in the prospect draft and they're are 12 teams, 5 rounds. 60 players will be taken and i have no idea where to start so what would your list of top 50 or so prospects look like?
Delmon Young or
Prince Feilder look like 2 good options for my 1st round pick
If it helps, I find it's a better idea to draft hitters. Also, draft guys that are more sure things in the first 2-3 rounds and take chances on young guys with high ceilings in the later rounds. Last year I got Ian Stewart in the 5th round, which helps me tremendously. He should be ready about the time that my 1st round pick David Wright gets too expensive.

One other thing - ignore position scarcity almost entirely in the minor leagues. A top minor league shortstop (BJ Upton) could very well end up a third baseman or an outfielder before all is said and done.
if you have the #2 pick, the only guys you need to consider drafting are felix hernandez and delmon young. usually its not smart going with a young pitching prospect, but hernandez is one of those once-in-a-decade talents that you shouldnt pass up.

if theres a guy out there who has comparisons in ceiling to mark prior, then i dont hesistate picking him in a draft if i got the opportunity. no matter his age.
