I'd take a shot with Byrd as well. With the offense & bullpen they have he should get some decent stats.

Yeah Byrd will be 4th or 5th starter with the LA Angels.

Colon
Escobar
Washburn
Lackey

Byrd is definitely worth a late round pick for your 5th starter. Most those other guys are only WW spot start type guys in up to 12 team mixed leagues. The two other exceptions are Danny Haren and Kip Wells. I expect both to have very solid years.

Because it is a keeper, I would consider Kazmir and Street. Street is nearly guaranteed the A's closer role when dotel struggles, gets hurt, gets traded, or doesn't re-sign. I suspect that will be sooner rather than later. Kashmir (anobody else thinking Zeppelin?) has been promised a spot in the rotation going into spring training. If all goes well, he will pitch a full year showing signs of brilliance but getting knocked around and walking the ballpark. Next year he could really give some value.

But I'm gonna say Dan Haren. He IS ready to be a major league starter. He IS young, injury free and consistent enough to consider as a keeper. and I beleive he IS going to put up solid numbers for Oakland this season, helping a fantasy team this year and beyond.

great feedback guys, im considering everyone on the list except ponson, ill list my team and u will see why im looking for pitching, i need to get a deep bench of starters and figure it out when the season starts, i went a little batter heavy but i love my team so far, i have 4 more picks, im thinking 2 or 3 more pitchers out of the last 4. thanks, and anymore feedback is greatly appreciated.

Besides the fact that you own Victor Zambrano, I don't see what is wrong with your pitching staff.

sorry to throw another pitcher in here but how about jeff francis for CO, ive been reading people comparing him and kasmir as the 2 best rookie pitchers this year and looks like they both will be in the rotation this year. i was pretty sure i was going to go kazmir with one of my next picks then pick from 2 of the others i listed with my last 2 picks (if they are available) but now im trying to figure out this francis guy, lol, he pitches in CO so that is kind of turning me away.

im getting alot of different opinions on these guys, anyone else?? maybe rank the top 4 out of the group including the rookie form CO. my 2picks are about 4 away, i want to grab one of these guys for now and another bat, then with my final 2 picks go with at least one of these guys if not 2 more.
