Hey guys, i am thinking of starting a points league and would like some ideas as to what would be some good scoring settings/catagories and what kind of points for each.

Here are the categories my league has been using since it's inception, with no real complaints.

Statistical Categories (Batters):
Runs (1),Hits (1),Doubles (1),Triples (2),Home Runs (3),Runs Batted In (1),Sacrifice Hits (1),Sacrifice Flys (1), Stolen Bases (2),Caught Stealing (-1),Walks (1),Hit By Pitch (1), Strikeouts (-1),Ground Into Double Play (-1),Errors (-1)

Statistical Categories (Pitchers):
Innings Pitched (3),Wins (10),Losses (-5),Complete Games (5),Shutouts (10),Saves (5),Hits (-1),Earned Runs (-1),Walks (-1),Hit Batters (-1),Strikeouts (1),Wild Pitches (-1)
Balks (-1)

caught stealing- (-1)
hit by pitch- 1
walk- 1
K- (-1)
run scored- 1

pitching
out- 1
K- 1
hit- (-1)
earned run- (-1)
walk- (-1)
win- 10
save- 7
loss- (-5)
complete game- 5
shutout- 5

this is what my league has used for the past 4 years. It favors strikeout pitchers and batters with good bb:k numbers.
