i would also take Schilling hands down in either a redraft or a keeper, Pedro won't be on any of my teams this year unless he falls somewhere iin the 8th round or so.

I'm a big believer in Pedro this year, but Schilling is still the better pick in any kind of league just because there is less risk involved.

I just don't get it. Even in a down year he was one of the top SP. He moves to the NL and to a better pitching park.

Ditto. Pedro's injuries and difficulities have kept him from being the steady Cy-Young contender that Schilling has transformed into. Besides, can anyone really afford to have a Met anchor their pitching staff :-o ?

Geez, Savage, I hope you're in one of my leagues-- heck all of my leagues! If you want to avoid Mets this year (Pedro) maybe the pitcher in the national league, (Beltran) maybe the best overall player in the national league-- go ahead. I'll take those two while you avoid Mets on principle...

My intent was to humor about avoiding Mets pitching. I didn't think anyone would take me seriously. Hehe, I'll join your league if you want me to though ;-) .

Good choice with Pedro. His injury concern is overstated and he will be the #1 pitcher in baseball this year.

Come on, Pedro.

Whoever said they wanted Pedro in a one-year, but Schil in a keeper? Schilling's four years older.

I've had at least one of them for several years...I place Shilling a little higher IMO. Both are great pitchers however.
You don't have to like 'em to own 'em!!!!

how does schilling have less risk? pedro is GUARANTEED to be ready for opening day.with schilling, theres as good a chance that he misses the first month of the season as there is of him pitching on opening day!
