Those worried about Garcia should keep in mind that he devolped forearm tightness in the second half and his numbers fell when he tried to pitch through it (and it eventually cost him a couple starts).
Before he left Seattle he was lights-out (with ZERO run support

). The most promising sign was that he seemed to develop some gray mass between his ears and some calicification of his spine. In the old days Freddy would melt down at the first hint of adversity ... last summer he was a rock no matter how many times the M's pooped on him. And he's supposedly much happier in Chi-town. Just a thought.

The knock on Garcia is that he has the tendency to completely implode. He had a good 04 but he was barely an average starter in 02 and 03 despite pitching in a pitcher's park.
He posted the highest K rate in his career in 04 which is encouraging but keeping ball in the park will again be his biggest challenge. And the way Comiskey or US Cellular or whatever the hell it's called now is configured, my guess is that he will be very pedestrian.

No Mark Buerhle or Livan Hernandez in that list? I'd say they are better than many of the options you listed.
