lets say its a keeper league - and you can have one of these two guys.

You already have thome at first and rolen at third but you need to fill your corner infield spot.

which would you rather have?>

blalock at $11
or
teixeira at $10

If you keep either one - you can keep him again next year at same price - but you can only keep one or the other. not both.

this is an imaginery question kind of an "ideal situation" not the situation I'm in - just wondering who you'd rather have.

I like Tex, i think he has the higher ceiling. Also Blalock plays at a deep position.

Regarding your question...yes Teixeira is the better buy. However:

No doubt in my mind: Tex. He's the better player with more upside, and he's a buck cheaper? You should take Tex and never look back. Oh, that's right. This is just "imaginary." ;-)
