UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I can not fathom what some people are saying in this thread. What A-Rod did is the equivalent to "traveling" in basketball. It is an illegal play. You do not get fined, kicked out, or anything. You are out on that play. He would have been out anyways. Why not try to knock the ball out. It is not cheating. Are you kidding me. I hope that those of you that have children will tell them A-Rod is a horrible cheater and things like that. If you do that, your children will be missing out on one of the most fundamentally sound, good-guy baseball players in history. And please do not even try to compare this to steroids or corked bats. Are you saying that if a player runs out of the baseline going to second to avoid a tag, that he is cheating...same thing. He is not cheating. He would be out anyways and he is taking the chance that the Ump will not call him out. Remember the slap and running out of the baselines are subjective arguments...completely up to the Ump.
Let's get on with talking about otherr stuff. All baseball players are extremely competitive...this is not cheating, it is taking a chance that a judgement call will go your way. And I bet 99% of baseball players would do similar things.....to win.

I would rather see more post about the MLB's new team rosters. Things like this have no fantasy impact. If I want to discuss these types of things I will do it in the redsox.com forum.
I am excited for a competitive year......and some great baseball and fantasy baseball. Good luck everyone with their FB and MLB teams!!!!!
