Here are my proposed league settings
10-Team AL/NL – Weekly Transactions
24 Roster Players – 22 Active / 2 Bench Spots
C,C,1B,2B,3B,SS,U,U,OF,OF,OF,OF,OF,9 (SP/RP), 2 BENCH
Live Draft either Slow or Fast – We’ll decide, but probably start around mid-March.
With a 10 team league, consuming 240 players, I’ve found this to absolutely be the best balance of keeping enough quality players on the FA/Waiver pool to keep the game competitive throughout the year and give those in the middle to lower end of the pack to make a run at the top spot (always keeps me on my toes since I'm usually on top!)
As far as fee’s, that’s another subject we’ll have to decide as a league. My experience tells me that when people have money at stake, they play harder, but I know there are some die hard quality players around here and they don’t need money to be a motivating factor, so It’s not imperative. We could run this over at Yahoo, or pool some money together, purchase a league at either SandBox, Fanball, CBS Sportsline, or Yahoo and do it right.
I’ve been playing Fantasy Baseball for about 6 years and run a Salary Cap game that’s in it’s 4th year with virtually all the same members. For the past 3 years, I’ve been playing in the CBS Sportsline Diamond/Platinum league’s which have proven to be a lot of fun (and profitable).
I’m just looking to get involved with some fresh blood…….
