our league votes on a new cat to our 5x5....it came down to K's or OBP

so Dunn was either terrible, or Great....OBP won so he's a keeper, if it were K's, he drops to a 20th rounder

I wouldn't go with 200 k's to start

I'm in a 7x7 H2H league that uses Ks. Talking from experience, I wouldn't put too much of an onus on it. If you get preoccupied with Ks you may undervalue someone who has good totals in the other catagories. Two years ago I had Preston Wilson. Yeah, he K'ed a lot, but he also led the league in RBIs. So don't totaly disregard/avoid the Strikeout Kings, just bump them down a half notch.

Actually, I was in a H2H league last summer that busted you for K's, and nontheless I assembled this infield:

c- CWilson
1b- Dunn
2b- Boone
ss- Tejada
3b- MCabrera
(also grabbed Wilkerson off F/A during the year)

Now go back and check JTWood's top 10 list 8-o

I was living large in the power categories, but rest assured I never once picked up a 'W' in the strikeout wars :-/

Agreed. And if you can get another player that doesn't K a lot, you can balance things out nicely. ;-D
