Anyone here a publisher???
Yes. I publish short run books and magazines, and have designed magazines that get full print runs for national and international distribution. Now if we could only get the content from the experts on this board organized.....it would be a winner for everyone in Fantasy BB.
This is a great idea. If it happens I wanna buy stock in this company on the ground floor!

Now we are getting somewhere!!!!!!!!! 'Cafe Times, Baseball Edition'?
I think Lindy's in the 2nd best magazine right behind Street&Smith. Lindy's has been very good at projections and has been the most useful magazine for me in the last 4 years, and I buy them all! I guess we all have our own tastes, but Lindy definitely is baseball knowledgable. I just went to Barnes&Noble and they havn't recieved a Lindy's yet. I was bumbed and can't wait to get my hands on it.
I wonder if the idea of publishing a Fantasy Baseball Cafe pre-season Magazine with perhaps monthly or 2 quarterly updates during the season has been looked at and rejected by the powers here, or not?
Moderators, what do you say? Have the owners of this site expressed any interest in doing this? We have the best experts in Fantasy BB Land here...we could have the best info contained in a class-act magazine.
This idea has been thrown around quite a few times on the football side, and nothing has really come of it. The main issue is that it turns the Cafe into a "pseudo pay site" in that you pay for the magazine and also view the website. The admins are pretty animate in keeping the place free since that's the main reason why it was created.
Here's a pretty big thread concerning a magazine idea over there. Yes, I understand it's a different sport, but it's the same principle. It also forces people to go over to the light side for a few minutes...
Oh, and don't read the last couple pages...
The One, The Only, The Incomparable Mercer Boy.

Thanks for the link to that thread on the subject. I would have never seen it as I don't follow fantasy football as avidly as I do baseball.
I understand the position put forward about turning this into a pseudo-pay site, though personally I would like to have a consolidated piece of reference/research from this site--that would be helpful and worth paying for, in my opinion.
At any rate, I was just offering to help if they decided it was worthwhile.
First off I just want to say that I dont mean to disrespect anyone here about this topic. That said....
Why anyone purchases a fantasy mag is beyond me. There is so much info for free online. I've never bought one, never will.
If you dont realize that JJones isnt as good as Manny then......
You all know the great players, the good ones and the rest. Thats all I need.
