Jason Giambi?

Postby eagles157 » Sat Apr 26, 2003 1:29 pm

Is he hurt or something because he has been dropped to waivers in my league! I am pissed off though because I have the 11th waiver pick out of 12 teams so there is basicly no chance I can get him. Should I complain?

Are you sure its Jason Giambi that was dropped and not his brother? If it is jason than you should immediately kick the guy who dropped him out of your league because there is a huge chance that he will at some point in time hand deliver the championship to someone. What place is the guy with the first priority in?

Same thing happened to me, some guy in last place dropped Giambi, and I was able to pick him up and I had 6th waiver priority. Now I've got Helton and Giambi. I don't know what's his problem, I heard that he bruised his middle finger and missed Thursday's game, but that doesn't explain his slow start. But other than a poor average, he has put up some competative numbers for being in a "slump"

Also keep in mind that Giambi started off slow last year and then he had that grand slam in the rain to win the game for yanks and then things started to turn around for him greatly. He WILL get hot soon and then people better watch out. The yanks are great right now and when Giambi starts playing well and when they get Jeter, whew I shutter to think what might happen.

Week or two before the playoffs someone dropped Carlos Delgado and the guy who picked him up went onto the finals.

he finished the season really strong if people remember.

Sorry to say, whoever dropped him is an absolute jackass. He's a slow-starter. Get in a real league.
