The Red Sox are telling potential suitors for Byung-Hyun Kim that they have a team willing to pay $2.5 million of the $6 million he's still owed and give up a pair of prospects.
Boston is willing to eat $5 million of the $6 million Kim is owed if it nets them a top prospect. If nothing materializes, then they may take the mystery offer. The Boston Globe's Gordon Edes thinks it might be from the Dodgers.
