Hey, Do Any Of You Guys Always Get Burned By Your Bench

Postby YankFan51 » Sat Apr 26, 2003 10:47 am

It always seems to turn out that the guys on my bench put up big numbers, while the guys I start over them do squat. It happened to me again last night, with both Pujols and Kielty on my bench over Edgar and Koskie. Big mistake.

There are some managers in my league who absolutely refuse to have any bench whatsover. They would rather lose stats on days off than be burned by the overachieving bench guys.

I know it stinks to have a bench guy say hit 3 HR in one night...
Richie $@#*%&. But I after the initial disappointment, one should feel happy when they do good because their trade value goes up. It's just silly to be watching Sportscenter hoping your bench guys do bad.

I have Esteban Loaiza on my pitching bench right now. I hope he dominates again and again so I can trade him for something sizzling before he poots out like he always does.

I wouldnt give a bag of stale chips for him. He falls under the Shane Reynolds catergory of buyer beware.

I've had 8HR and 3SB on my bench so far this season :( I'd be pissed if I wasn't leading every hitting category anyways ;)

I have had 2 stollen bases this week alone from players on the bench.

for example I have Ray Durham and Marcus Giles at 2nd base.

and Shortstop I have Jose Hernandez and Orlando Cabrera

any given day my backup will out hit the other.

know exactly what yall mean. I started Klesko this week at U over JaunGone. And Jaun has blown up this week. I'm still leading for the week in total points. But i wouldnt be surprised if i lost because i didnt start Jaun of Klesko. Oh well, So im 3-1 on the season if i lose.. worst that will happen is im tied with 5 others.
