I don't think he'll get a Delgado-like-deal coming off an injury.

I'm pretty sure he had a solid 2nd half last year. I'm not exactly sure on the injury part of it though.

no 1 yr deal.
no substantial pay cut.
no DH.
Boras has already set these parameters.
Wow, I would just say either the contract has all those things or you can go somewhere else. And no one is going to offer him a multiyear deal for lots of cash and have him start in the OF. Boras needs to die.

no, idiots who give in to his demands just to land a star need to die. when GMs and owners begin behaving intelligently, this won't be an issue.

To provide the power they had hoped to obtain in Delgado, the Mets might try to sign Magglio Ordonez. His agent, Scott Boras, talked with the Mets on Tuesday, and New York already has requested the medical records of Ordonez, who injured a knee last year and needed two operations
possible?

Actually it isnt that bad. Its going to be a multi yr deal with injury clauses and heavily weighted on incentives. It gives the team that signed him a bit of built in insurance since the insurance premium the contract would demand from outside insurance would be insane. Its a win win for whatever team he goes to and Boras has a history of structuring contracts that way.
