I was trying to keep it general but I see how scoring could make a huge difference. Here's the scoring system:

Scoring for Batting Categories
BB - Walks (Batters) 1 point
HP - Hit by Pitch .5 points
R - Runs 1 point
RBI - Runs Batted In 1 point
SB - Stolen Bases 2 points
TB - Total Bases 1 point

Scoring for Pitching Categories
BBI - Walks Issued (Pitchers) -.5 points
ER - Earned Runs -1 point
HA - Hits Allowed -.5 points
IBBI - Intentional Walks .5 points
INN - Innings 2 points
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
S - Saves 10 points
W - Wins 10 points


**The top 12 from last season (in order) were:
Bonds
Abreu
Pujols
Beltran
Vlad
Helton
Manny
Beltre
Berkman
A-Rod
Tejada
Ortiz

2) you can't go wrong with any of the guys listed above as long as you pick someone who is not likely to go down with an injury.
3) you win your league in middle and late rounds. what's this obsession with "who do I pick first? second? fourth?!!?!?!"

There's very little you can be sure of in the middle rounds. you never know who will be taken when. you can have rough ideas, but its always a gamble.

there can and will always be a concensus for the top 3-4 guys, so people will always want to know who to take.

i'm not saying it's particularly useful. i'm just saying that that's the way it is.

Yeah I didn't run the numbers... but I guess Bonds would be your man. But I have a question: why is A-Rod a consensus top 4 pick as opposed to Bonds?
