Now that the Mets definetly aren't getting Delgado who is gonna be their starting first baseman on opening day? Travis Lee? John Olerud? Eric Valent? Have the Mets considered teaching Victor Diaz how to play first in spring training and giving him the job?

I wouldn't be opposed to J.P. but looks like we need a backup catcher for the time being. John Heyman says no go on the Boston trade (they want too much) and expect Travis Lee to be inked by the end of the week.

Makes sense to me man, plus he has a catcher elligibilty so from a fantasy sense he could be worth a later round flier if he gets his game back together. Think this might be true Amazinz or would you not touch him?

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.

I wouldn't because trading Vance Wilson says a lot about how Omar feels about J.P. or at least that's the way I see it. Unless they think Ramon Castro can be the backup. Valent is going to need playing time so I think he'd see more time at 1B with J.P. getting 30 or more games at catcher.
